Love

Love
From this page there is easy access to materials on loving our neighbors as we love ourselves. We think that it is only through a win-win attitude that we can all feel safe enough to realize that we are more alike than we are different, and we're all just trying to make it. We can imagine how healing it would be if we could all see ourselves as wonderful manifestations of Creation and bow to the divine in each other. We might say, "Namasté" or "The Holy within me greets the Holy within you."

Galatians 5:14
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Galatians 5:14 RSV)
Gospel of Matthew
The most important commandment

22:36 "Teacher, what is the most important commandment in the Law?" 37 Jesus answered: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. 38 This is the first and most important commandment. 39 The second most important commandment is like this one. And it is, "Love others as much as you love yourself."

The Gospel of Matthew, CEV
Holy Tanakh : Torah - Vayikra (Leviticus) 19:18
Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD. (Leviticus 19:18)
Love Your Neighbor As Yourself
The Malpass Family performed a great song at Merelfest 2003: Love thy neighbor as thyself.

"Love thy neighbor as thyself. Do unto him as you’d have him do to you. Give him things that you can do without to help him live. Love thy neighbor as thyself and he will love you too.

Now, this old world could be a lonesome place without a friend. We need each other every day. Together we can win. There’s a little good in every man. Don’t count and see his faults. And a precious deed that you might do may change his inward thoughts.

Love thy neighbor as thyself. Do unto him as you’d have him do to you. Give him things that you can do without to help him live. Love thy neighbor as thyself and he will love you too.

Well, I once knew a couple of fellers near my old homestead. And I just wish that all the world could live the way they did. They’d swap off work and lend each other money, mules, and plows. And I’ve seen’m many a time dividing milk from one old cow.

Love thy neighbor as thyself. Do unto him as you’d have him do to you. Give him things that you can do without to help him live. Love thy neighbor as thyself and he will love you too.

We need old timey neighborhoods, with hearts that’s free of greed. God make us good old fashioned folks who’ll be a friend indeed. If you want a friend, then be a friend. Do not let charity slack. Do your deeds without a price, someone will pay you back.

Love thy neighbor as thyself. Do unto him as you’d have him do to you. Give him things that you can do without to help him live. Love thy neighbor as thyself and he will love you too.

Love."

Louvin Brothers recorded “Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself” for Capitol, 1955.

May God save us from religious intolerance. The Golden Rule
The Golden Rule or the ethic of reciprocity is found in the scriptures of nearly every religion. It is often regarded as the most concise and general principle of ethics. If we would all follow it in all our interactions with others, then inner peace as well as peace among nations would likely follow.
