As many of you know, Jim is thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. He plans to complete the journey by the end of September. There will be regular updates and pictures posted on the blog which can be accessed by clicking on the link below (Mindful Journey of Faith). If you would like to pledge any amount per mile as Jim hikes, please click on "email" and let him know your pledge amount. When Jim completes his hike, he will send you an envelope addressed to either American Jewish World Service or to Church World Service as you prefer. In this envelope you may send a check for your pledged amount per mile multiplied by the total miles Jim hikes to either AJWS or CWS. Jim intends to give $.18 per mile to each of these two great organizations (see links below). Jim's trail name is Elgixin, a name given to him when he became a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow in 1964. This is a journey of faith and mindfulness, and you are invited to come along through the materials posted.
