Anxiety is also sometimes called "nerves" or "nervousness" and is generally characterized by an uneasy or uncomfortable feeling which can at times be extremely disabling.

In our experience, there are a number of ways to help anxiety which include talking about anxiety-provoking situations and discovering new coping skills, using breathing techniques, and changing diet and exercise habits. There are also medications which have been reported helpful like Effexor XR, Neurontin, Gabitril, Buspar, Serzone, and clonazepam, among others.

When under stress, remember to put your left hand over your heart and your right hand over your left hand and BREATHE. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Feel the warmth of your hands on your chest and the rise and fall of your chest as you breathe. Think only “in” as you breathe in and “out” as you breathe out.
